Kharpocho Fort / Skardu Fort

There are many archaeological sites found in the northern areas, in particular in Scarda, and one of them is the Fort Harpocho. It was built by Makpon Buga (1490-1515 biennium), but the history of Mughals refers to the great Ali Sherkhan Anchan (1560-1625 biennium). Mindoq Khar

This is a palace built by Gul Haton or Mindokom Gialmo, on hills where only the fort of Harborho could be found. The palace was named in honor of the Queen as “Mindoq Khar”, which means “Flower Palace”. The palace was destroyed by the troops of the Sikh ruler of Kashmir, Maharaja Gulab Singh, during his invasion of Skardu, in 1840 AD.

Hilal Bagh (Crescent Garden) was located near the palace of Mindoq Khar (flower), where once there was a terrace garden with marble fountains. The royal garden stretches from Mindoq to the modern bazaar in Skardu. The palace was destroyed by large floods in the area.

Buddhist Rock

This is the only remaining Buddhist rock, with a carving on the rocks, located on the road of Satpar in Skardu. Kachura Lake

Lake Kachura is 32 kilometers (20 miles) from Skardu. The jeep takes two hours to get to the shimmering waters of Lake Kachura.
